J is looking for 2 female house mates! We are looking to create a positive and harmonious co tenancy at a ratio of 1:3. J is cheeky and funny and would love to live with someone who will enjoy watching cartoons, who loves to dance, sing and not take life too seriously. Someone similar to J would be amazing! J is mostly non verbal but has a keen eye on everything going on around her. J is vocal in her needs and loves to be around people, smiles and has a wicked sense of humour. J is a joy to support. (No behaviours)

Supports in the home are at a ratio of 1:3, high physical support, with 2 staff needed for hoisting and PC. J goes to a day service weekdays and also has awake shifts at night for pressure management.

This home is situated in Coomera in a new area – Surrounded by beautiful new homes just like this one! It is close to public transport and walking distance to local shops, doctors and cafes.

Being and SDA home, it is fully accessible. No steps, wide walkways and hallways, back patio area to relax in, open place accessible kitchen. Each room is large with an accessible ensuite. The house is only a few years old and is fully furnished.

This is SDA home, this will be discussed with you upon application. You need to HAVE SDA funding in place, or it’s in the works to be considered.

There aren’t any. You pay your rent and contributions which is a small amount on top of you rent that covers things like streaming services, spring cleaning, lawn mowing, use of all communal furniture, insurance, cleaning products etc. You pay your share of the utilities and contributions and that’s it. We don’t want your pension, not even a teeny bit of it. Your money after these bills is yours not ours! We can help you put together a grocery plan and budget, as well as a spending and saving budget too! This is what supported independent living is all about, learning all you can, to become as independent as possible!

We know from experience the way we run our SIL homes works well. It allows people to have everything anyone else would at home and is very transparent.

In addition to that, each home has it’s very own team leader, that is only allocated to THAT HOME. This team leader is reportable to the Program Manager who works closely with each team leader to ensure that we have cohesive teams who are feeling positive and empowered to make a difference in the life of your loved one. How we see it? If you don’t have a positive team supporting people, people do not make progress and where people do not make progress people are not moving forward in their lives to do and be the best they can. Life is about moving forward, learning, growing and every changing. This is the same for ALL people, no matter their ability.

That’s enough telling you how good we are…. Just make a call, have a chat and you will see for yourself! An A+ NDIS audit with no issues or recommendations to do anything better AND a 9/10 rating by our staff and participants tell me that we might just know what we are doing here and that we are worlds apart from the rest. All you have to do is give me a call to find out.

I am happy for you to call Andrea on 0457 454 107 or email andrea@ignitecommunity.com.au If any of our SIL vacancies interest you, or you would like to discuss moving your supports to us, we would love to hear about how we can change yours, or your loved ones world for the better. It’s a decision that you won’t regret.

Ignite Community’s specialty is building independence in your own home. While we offer SIL & SDA, we prefer not to label our services as such. Instead, we focus on creating exceptional homes with supportive staff and people you choose to live with, all aimed at helping you reach your full potential. Our goal is to teach and support you within your own home to be as independent as possible. We will assist you in building your own capacity in all areas of daily living, in managing your own home and learning and accessing the community around you.

What makes living in a home managed by Ignite Community different to the rest? Let me tell you!

  • Qualified and Trained Staff. Our staff are always on-site, fully qualified to support individuals with both physical and psychosocial disabilities
  • We provide transportation as required.

  • You pay a portion of the rent and a small weekly contribution that covers additional services like phone, internet, and streaming services.
  • Utility invoices are split between tenants as they are invoiced.
  • Groceries are your responsibility
  • Our houses are fully furnished; you only need to bring personal items for your bedroom and anything else to make the home your own.
  • You become part of the Ignite Community ‘Family’ with access to exclusive events and activities such as circuses, concerts, and other community events without extra funding requirements.
  • The opportunity to make friendships with others in their home with monthly inter house dinner parties, lunches and celebrating special days with others.
  • Funded two night getaways, twice per year (Must be 1:2) conditions apply* but does not need extra NDIS funds for this.
  • You need to have funding in place for Home and Living (SIL/SDA) at the correct ratio required for your support needs to be eligible to live in one of our homes. Our homes are for people with a disability requiring 24/7 supports with and NDIS plan.
